To compare medical travel quotes, put the same cost categories beside each other and mark what is included, excluded or still unknown. A lower package headline can hide a different set of services. This worksheet helps organize costs; it does not assess a clinic's medical quality or determine whether treatment or travel is suitable for you.
Start with written information
For each provider, record the date of the quote, currency, expiry date, quoted services and contact person. Keep the original document so you can refer back to its wording. If a package description is unclear, ask for clarification in writing before treating a service as included.
Use the same categories for every option
| Category | Your quoted amount | Questions to resolve |
|---|---|---|
| Quoted service | Enter the provider's written figure | What is included and excluded? |
| Travel | Enter your flight or transport quote | What are the change and cancellation terms? |
| Accommodation | Enter nightly cost and number of nights | Are any nights included in the package? |
| Local expenses | Enter your own daily allowance | Which meals and transfers are included? |
| Other costs | List each confirmed item separately | Is there a separate fee or deposit? |
| Contingency | Choose your own planning allowance | What would an itinerary change cost? |
Keep unknowns visible
Use “not confirmed” rather than zero when you have not received an answer. Zero suggests a service is free or included, which is a different situation from missing information. Separate a provider's statement from an assumption you made while reading a promotional page.
Compare in one currency
Keep the original quote currency and record the exchange rate and date you use for comparison. Ask your payment provider about fees rather than assuming that a public conversion rate is the final amount you will pay. This worksheet does not supply an exchange rate or predict future costs.
Test the total
Use the travel budget planner with figures from your own quotes. Calculate flights plus accommodation and daily costs for the planned number of nights, then add other confirmed costs. The contingency field lets you explore a scenario; its default is not a recommendation for your particular trip.
Keep cost and suitability as separate decisions
A spreadsheet cannot establish professional credentials, clinical suitability, aftercare arrangements or the quality of a provider's work. Discuss medical and travel timing questions with appropriately qualified professionals. Do not interpret an inexpensive package as evidence that it is the right option.
